wedding guest outfit - yellow flowers

Elindult az esküvő szezon, ami a menyasszonyokon kívül nagy fejtörést okoz a vendégeknek is. Mit vegyünk fel? Mi lesz, ha hideg az idő? Milyen színt illik viselni? Az én fejemben is hasonló kérdések kavarogtak 2 hete, amikor az egyik barátnőm tanúja voltam az esküvőjén. Az utolsó pillanatban találtam ezt a szoknyát és hezitálás nélkül megvettem, mert úgy gondoltam, hogy nem csak ezen az ünnepi alkalmon, hanem később is jó szolgálatot fog tenni, ami fontos, hiszen senki sem akar megvenni egy drága ruhát azért, hogy csak egy alkalommal viselje.

The wedding season has officially started which gives a hard time, not just for the brides, but for guests as well. What should i wear? What if the wheather will be cold? What color can i chose? These were the questions i asked myself 2 weeks ago when i was one of my friends' witness at her wedding. I found this skirt last minute and i bought it immidiately because i had a feeling it would be a versatile piece in the future, which is important, because no one really wants to buy a skirt/dress only to wear it once.

A hétvégére hazautaztam és elhoztam magammal a szoknyát is, mert egy biztos volt; nem a városi forgatagban szerettem volna képeket készíteni róla. Azt álmomban sem gondoltam volna, hogy ilyen gyönyörű repceföldbe botlunk, de így két legyet is üthettem egy csapásra. Egy régi álmom teljesült azzal, hogy megálltunk az út szélén és beszaladtunk a virágos közepébe. Azt hiszem utoljára kiskoromban játszottam ezt el egy pipacs rét közepén. A másik szerencsés fordulat, hogy ezek a virágok szinte tökéletesen illenek a szoknyámhoz, és bár először kicsit féltem, hogy beleolvadok a háttérbe, szerintem a végeredmény nagyon jó lett :)

I went home to my mom on the weekend and i brought the skirt with me, because i was sure of one things; i didn't want it to be photographed in the crowded city. I couldn't have imagined to bump into this rapefield, but i thought, i might as well kill two birds with one stone. One of my long time dreams has come true; we stopped at the side of the road and ran right into the middle of the field. I think the last time i've done something like this, was with in a poppy field when i was little. The other lucky turnout was that the flowers almost perfectly matched my skirt and even though i was a bit afraid first, that i will get lost in the background, the result turned out to be pretty good i think. :)

Igaz, hogy elvileg fehérben nem illik menni egy esküvőre, de szerintem ezzel a sárga szoknyával megbolondítva nem sért semmilyen dresscodot. Hűvösebb, tavaszi esküvőkön - vagy akármilen rendezvényen - egy ehhez hasonló hosszabb ujjú blúzzal viselném, nyáron pedig ujjatlan felsőkkel is jól mutat.

They say you're not supposed to wear white on a wedding, but i think, after you spiced up your outfit with this yellow skirt, it doesn't offend any dresscode. On cooler, spring weddings - or any ocassion really - i would wear it with a blouse like this, with longer sleeves, and in the summer it's perfect with sleeveless tops as well.
